If you have a costume you are trying to match a silk veil and/or skirt to, please email me at sales(at)WorkOfArtCreations.com for a consultation.  There are many ways to accomplish a color-match, one of which is for you to send me a swatch of the fabric you are wanting to match, or a piece of the costume.  The swatch doesn’t have to be large, just enough to give me an idea of the color you are wanting to be matched.  The second way is to send me a large, clear photograph.  Be advised though, because of computer monitor differences and the effects of photography, the colors may not match perfectly, but will be very close.

Color matching is an art, and like all other arts, it’s a process.   Therefore it may take me a bit longer to get a color matched veil or skirt shipped, but I promise it will be worth the wait.

To place an order, please send me an email at sales@WorkOfArtCreations.com with what you would like to order, and I will send you an invoice.  You can also use the “Add to cart” feature to pay.

I accept payment through your paypal account, or you can use your credit card via paypal.  I will also accept checks and money orders.  I also accept international checks, but conditions will apply.

Color Matching

Custom orders are my passion.  If you do not see what you want on the website, I would love to work with you to create your dream skirt and/or veil.

Have a design you want me to create?  You can send me an email at sales(at)WorkOfArtCreations.com for a consultation.

There is NO extra charge for custom orders, but I do require payment in advance.

Because I am making a veil specific to you, all sales on custom orders are final.  The consultation process will be in-depth, so I can be sure I am confident in the design you are dreaming of!  Custom orders can also take longer, so please order at least 3 weeks before you need the veil, 6 weeks for a skirt.  These are LONG estimates, but better safe than sorry!  If it is a rush order, email me to be sure I can make the veil or skirt in the amount of time.

Silk is graded by different standards than other fabrics.  Cotton is measured by thread-count, where silk is measured by its momme weight.  A higher momme weight means that more silk was used in the weaving process - the higher the momme, the heavier the fabric.  A five momme veil, written as 5mm, is lighter than an 8mm veil, for example.  Heavier veils are better for double veil work and outdoor performances, where lighter veils are better for indoor stage performances.

About Silk

My typical hemming is to leave the selvedge edges natural, and hem the cut edges.  I use a narrow, flat hem, instead of a rolled hem.  I find the rolled hems can snag and come undone.

All silk veils and skirts are sewn with silk thread, so there are no unsightly hems.

Both Tiered and Circle skirt can be adjusted in size for everyday wear.  Just send me an email and we’ll work out the details!
